No Piano Moving Cost – Moving a Piano Yourself
There is a way to save ALL that money… Simply, moving a piano yourself.
However, the word simply is really not in place. Besides for the tremendous weight of the piano there is the simple fact that the piano is HUGE and HEAVY (as stated above it can even weigh over 800 pounds). Also, while moving a piano yourself will save you the cost of professional piano movers, the damage you may cause to the piano or even your back may be far more expensive and most insurance companies will not cover the piano when it is not moved by piano movers.
To conclude, if it is a simple move, meaning inside the house, with no steps (or even better – inside the room) and you have the necessary piano moving equipment – you may consider it. Otherwise, use professional piano movers!
